The Portland Science Fiction Society

7pm Saturday, 2006.04.28 alt.porsfis

Party at the home of Randolph Fritz and Kier Salmon in Hillsdale, southwest Portland. Rules: (1) Good conversation--no television. (2) You kill it, you eat it--you bring it, you take it home. We may plan something a bit more formal, like our last alt's reading game, but more likely not. Or bring a truck and take the white elephant of an office desk home with you; at this point we'll give it to anyone who will haul it off. For directions, check the mailing list, or write the PorSFiS secretary.

2pm Saturday, 2007.05.12 PorSFiS public meeting

Somewhere other than Coffee Time, but we know not where. (I'm an editor; I get to call myself "we".) Wherever it is, come on down to look cool, schmooz, and discuss sf. Watch this space, or the mailing list, or write the PorSFiS secretary.

About PorSFiS

The Portland Science Fiction Society is the oldest operating Science-Fiction club in Oregon, with a history spanning more than 25 years. First organized in the back of the old Illustrated Store, the Portland Science Fiction Society is Portland's premiere club for those interested in Science Fiction and Fantasy.

The second Saturday of each month we hold monthly public meetings, which will wander until we find a comfortable home; every three months we discuss club business. The fourth Saturday of each month we hold alt.porsfis; a monthly party-like activity. The locations of alt.porsfis are announced on our Yahoo mailing list; sign up or write our secretary for information.

At PorSFiS you'll find parties, day trips, an annual barbecue, holiday get-togethers, interesting people, spirited conversations, and in-depth discussions on just about any subject. So come on out to one of our monthly meetings or special events! We'll be happy to see you!
